EIS International Night 2012
International Night 2012 took place on Wednesday, April 18th during the 61st Annual Epidemic Intelligence Service Conference. The session was co-moderated by Dr. Kevin De Cock, Director of the Center for Global Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Dr. Paul Kelly, Chairman of the Advisory Board, TEPHINET. Dr. Peter Bloland, Director of the Division of Public Health Systems and Workforce Development welcomed our special guests and moderators. Dr. Thomas Frieden, CDC’s Director, congratulated the audience for their commitment to public health and spoke about improving health through the core method of using data to improve performance. Dr. Dionisio Jose Herrera Guibert, Director of TEPHINET gave the evening’s awards and closing remarks.
