Director's Message
Dear Colleagues:
This new edition of our newsletter reaches you at an opportune time as we have completed our regional conferences in the last quarter of 2011 and are now preparing for the annual International Night during the 61st Annual Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Conference. Like the regional conferences, EIS International Night highlights leading presentations from the trainees and graduates of our FE(L)TP programs.
The abstracts that we have received for both the regional conferences and international night have been of outstanding quality and this has been reflected in the recognition of best oral and best poster presentations. This is an important indicator that we are improving in all respects and it is evidence that our actions have been helping to ensure that our network is a leader in applied epidemiology worldwide. We are very proud of the work we are doing and will continue our commitment towards further development by striving to improve the quality of our programs.
