TEPHINET works to ensure that every country in the world has the applied epidemiology capacities needed to protect and promote the health of its own population. We do this by developing, connecting, and mobilizing a global workforce to strengthen public health systems and advance health security.
How do Field Epidemiology Training Programs strengthen public health systems?
Across more than 100 countries, our member programs are developing global capacity for timely detection, investigation of, and response to public health emergencies.
The Global Field Epidemiology Roadmap
Our strategy is guided by the Global Field Epidemiology Roadmap, intended to guide and coordinate the work of the many partners and stakeholders engaged in the global FETP enterprise.
The School of Public Health at the University of Cape Town, in partnership with the International Epidemiological Association (IEA), will host the 23rd World Congress of Epidemiology from 24-27 September 2024 (WCE2024). The theme of WCE2024 is "Epidemiology and complexity: challenges and responses," which will engage the full depth and breadth of methods and practice in contemporary epidemiology.
2024 FETP International Nights will be held in person during the Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.
FETP International Nights
Co-organized by TEPHINET and the CDC, FETP International Nights provides a forum for the global Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) community to share their work and showcase the impact that FETPs make in public health.
