Ms. Ellithorpe manages all of the Network Initiative Events for TEPHINET, such as the global conferences, the Americas regional conference, as well as assists with the other regions in the planning of their conferences. In addition to events management, she also assists the TEPHINET Director, is the TEPHINET Advisory Board Minutes Secretary and manages the TEPHINET Secretariat office. She has more than 20 years of administrative and event planning experience in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors. Amber is studying to take the Certified Meeting Planner exam in 2019-20. She was born in California and lived in Costa Rica, Venezuela and Panama from the ages of three to 13. She is fluent in Spanish and English, having learned both languages simultaneously, and is well-versed in written translation as well as some spoken translation. Amber and her husband, Ken, have been married for 26 years and have three children ranging from 19 to 23 years old. She enjoys traveling and getting to know new cultures as well as spending time with her family at home. Amber is an amateur photographer and loves to read historical fiction.
