Mrs. Ellithorpe manages all of the networking initiative events for TEPHINET, such as TEPHINET's global and regional scientific conferences, and assists regional FETP networks in the planning of their conferences. She has more than 20 years of administrative and event planning experience in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. Amber passed the certification exam for the Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGCMP) in February 2020, and in January 2021 passed the certification exam for the Events Council Industry Meetings Professional (CMP). She has lived in Costa Rica, Venezuela and Panama. She is fluent in Spanish and English, having learned both languages simultaneously, and is well-versed in written translation as well as some spoken translation. She enjoys traveling, having visited 19 countries and counting, and getting to know new cultures. Amber enjoys spending time with her family and her favorite hobbies are amateur photography and reading historical fiction.
