Angela Hilmers, MD, MS, MPH
Dr. Angela Hilmers serves as Senior Associate Director for Science at TEPHINET. Prior to joining TEPHINET permanently, she was a consultant medical epidemiologist for TEPHINET for the implementation of Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP)-Frontline in the Americas and Caribbean Regions. Prior to this appointment, she was a Global Health fellow at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention providing technical support to FETP Programs in West Africa. Dr. Hilmers has significant experience in scientific planning of quantitative and qualitative research studies related to non-communicable diseases. She received her MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Diploma in Tropical Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine National School of Tropical Medicine.
