Announcing the 2021 FETP International Nights

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and TEPHINET are collaborating to organize the 2021 FETP International Nights, continuing, in a virtual format, the annual event that has become a highly anticipated fixture of the global Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) community over the last two decades.

While the FETP International Nights traditionally are held during the annual Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Conference in Atlanta, this year’s FETP International Nights will be a standalone virtual event, since the 2021 EIS Conference was canceled.

Event Dates

The 2021 FETP International Nights will take place during the week of July 12, 2021. We will announce the exact dates and times in the coming weeks.

Call for Abstracts

As in years past, we will be accepting abstracts from current FETP trainees and recent graduates for presentation during this event. TEPHINET expects to publish the call for abstracts on March 15. Please follow the TEPHINET website for more information.

How Will This Year’s Event Be Different?

The annual event is a chance to share work being done through FETPs around the world and to recognize the impact these programs make every day in public health. This will not change.

Participants of the 2021 event can expect some of the traditional elements of the FETP International Nights in addition to adaptations made to accommodate this year’s virtual format. Stay tuned for more information.

If you have any questions, please contact conferences [at] tephinet [dot] org.

We look forward to welcoming you to the 2021 FETP International Nights!
