Antimicrobial Resistance Detection and Prevention in South America Regional Hubs

Project objective: To support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s International Infection Control Program (IICP) and Mycotic Disease Branch (MDB) as it aims to reduce transmission of Candida auris and other drug-resistant fungi through improved detection, preparedness, and response by demonstrating scalable intervention strategies to improve adherence to infection control and treatment guidelines to impact clinical outcomes and identify critical AMR pathogens in South America through improved detection and reporting of novel drug-resistant genotypes.
