Building Capacity of Coordination and Communication in Global Disease Detection
This project intends to increase and enhance capacity for global disease detection programs in the Central America region through training in the region to detect epidemics at the local level.
Project Objective
- To strengthen prevention and control of canine rabies in Guatemala, Dominican Republic, and Peru as a capacity building and coordination opportunity for the region
- To strengthen regional communication and the capacity of the countries of the region to respond in a coordinated manner to epidemiological and public health threats
- To coalesce the coordination and communication to improve regional health
