Call for Photos and Videos: TEPHINET 25th Anniversary Celebration during the 11th Global Scientific Conference

Throughout 2022, we have been highlighting TEPHINET’s 25th anniversary with stories, photos and videos from our members, partners, and other stakeholders. During the upcoming 11th TEPHINET Global Scientific Conference in Panama City, Panama, we will be hosting an official celebration of #TEPHINETat25, complete with presentations from member programs, photos and videos from Field Epidemiology Training Programs (FETPs) and TEPHINET partners, and of course, cake! 

We invite you to help us celebrate 25 years of global field epidemiology capacity building by sharing videos and photos of what it means to be part of TEPHINET. 

Videos

Videos should be a reflection of your experience with TEPHINET, and answer one or more of the following questions:

  • What does being part of (or being a partner to) TEPHINET mean to you?
  • What impact has TEPHINET had on your time as an FETP staff or faculty member, advisor, fellow, alum, or partner?
  • What is one way that being a part of TEPHINET has helped you grow, personally or professionally?  
  • How has being a partner to TEPHINET helped your organization?

Please follow the below instructions when creating your video: 

  • Limit your video to a maximum of 1 minute.
  • You may speak in any language, but if you speak in a language other than English, please submit a written English translation with your video.
  • Record the video in a quiet environment with good lighting.
  • Make sure the audio is clear with no distracting background noise. Use a microphone if possible.
  • Make sure the video is not shaky.
  • Look straight into the camera when speaking and ensure that your whole head is visible.

Please email your video to secretariat [at] tephinet [dot] org (subject: 25th%20Anniversary%20Celebration%20video) with the subject line, “25th Anniversary Celebration Video” by July 8, 2022. Either attach the video directly to your email or share a link to the video file uploaded to any file hosting platform. Accepted video file types include MP4, AVI, WMV, MOV. 

The body of your email must include:

  • Your full name, job title, organization, and country
  • Your affiliation with TEPHINET
  • If submitting your video in a language other than English, please provide a written English transcript of your video. 
Photos

Do you have photos from TEPHINET activities during the earlier years of our network (1997-2010)? Please submit up to 3 photos to secretariat [at] tephinet [dot] org with the subject line, “25th Anniversary Celebration Photos” by July 8, 2022. Please attach each photo directly to the email as a separate JPG or PNG file. Do not embed photo files within a Word document or PDF. 

The body of your email must include:

  • Your full name, job title, organization, and country
  • Your affiliation with TEPHINET
  • A descriptive caption for each photo that includes the following information:
    • When and where was the photo taken?
    • What is happening in the photo?
    • Who took the photo?

All content must be sent to secretariat [at] tephinet [dot] org by July 8, 2022.
