David Rodríguez-Araujo

Coordinator, Central American Field Epidemiology Network

David Rodríguez-Araujo completed a doctorate in medicine at the University of El Salvador (1994-2002), a master's degree in public health at the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua (2009-2010), and a master's degree in field epidemiology (advanced FETP) at the University of the Valley of Guatemala (2011-2012).

From 2003 to 2014, he worked for the Ministry of Health of El Salvador as an epidemiologist in different geographical areas (sub-national and national) and became chief of the National Statistics Unit.

Since 2014, he has served as the coordinator of the Central American Field Epidemiology Network (REDCEC) within the Executive Secretariat of the Council of Ministers of Health of Central America (SE-COMISCA), providing technical assistance for the implementation of basic and intermediate FETP, scientific conferences, field investigations and FETP mentor training.
