FETP International Night: Evenings of May 3-4, 2016
Location: Atlanta, Georgia, USA
The FETP International Night is hosted by CDC’s Division of Global Health Protection and the Training Programs in Epidemiology and Public Health Interventions Network (TEPHINET). The event provides a forum where Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) residents and graduates can not only give scientific presentations, but also increase their knowledge about surveillance, outbreak investigation, and recommendations that will strengthen public health systems and improve health outcomes in their respective countries. The International Night also provides an opportunity for FETP residents and EIS officers to exchange ideas and expand the global network of epidemiologists who can be called upon in times of emergency.
By bringing FETP residents and EIS officers together to share new knowledge, the International Night creates a channel for them to present and defend their research through abstracts before a panel of judges, subject matter experts, scientists, academicians, and senior level officials in the global scientific arena.
