Fighting Viral Hepatitis in Uzbekistan

Project Objective

To support the prevention, control, and elimination efforts of hepatitis B and hepatitis C in Uzbekistan. The goal of this project is to assist in implementing projects to eliminate viral hepatitis in Uzbekistan to meet the World Health Organization's 2030 elimination target. The objectives are to establish the baseline burden of viral hepatitis, support expansion of electronic medical record data related to viral hepatitis, build laboratory capacity, and build surveillance and care and treatment capacity. This project will utilize or partner with regional FETP students and graduates in order to build sustainable capacity.
