A new, free online course created by Uppsala University introduces the concepts of antibiotic resistance and what actions are needed to meet this global health threat.
The 4-week course starts on October 3, and will be useful for the public, students, health professionals or any other expert who want to gain a broader understanding of antibiotic resistance.
The participants will learn about the mechanisms behind the emergence and spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, gain insight into the current situation, and listen to real-life stories told by patients, doctors, and other experts.
This knowledge will help them understand what the challenges are, but also what preventive actions and other control mechanisms can be implemented to limit the impact of antibiotic resistance on our society.
