German Field Epidemiology Training Program Receives TEPHINET Accreditation

The Postgraduate Training for Applied Epidemiology (PAE) provided by the Robert Koch Institute, which is the German Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP), has received TEPHINET accreditation, making it the 18th FETP accredited by TEPHINET.

TEPHINET accreditation is an opportunity for FETPs to align with common standards that support quality training and increased recognition of their value in supporting country public health priorities.

Since 1996, the PAE has trained scientists in the field of infectious disease epidemiology with a particular focus on applying epidemiological methods for the prevention and control of infectious diseases when working in the German public health service.

The program will be accepting applications for its next cohort starting in March 2020. To learn more about its training and requirements, please visit the program's page on the RKI website.
