Invitation to Participate in Survey on Data Collection, Management and Analysis Tools Used for Outbreak Response in LMIC

The U.K. Public Health Rapid Support Team/London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM)/Public Health England (PHE) is conducting a survey on data collection, management and analysis tools used for outbreak response in low- and middle-income countries. The intended outcome of this survey is to create a repository of available tools to help facilitate faster decision-making and adoption of these tools in emergency contexts. In addition, the aggregated results of this survey will form part of a broader systematic review of electronic data collection, management and analytical tools used for outbreak response.

The link to the survey can be found here:

We invite TEPHINET partner colleagues that have recently been involved in outbreak response in any of the following countries or territories to complete the survey:

  • Afghanistan
  • Bangladesh
  • Cameroon
  • Central African Republic
  • Chad
  • Democratic Republic of Congo
  • Ethiopia
  • Iran
  • Iraq
  • Mali
  • Nigeria
  • Palestine
  • Pakistan
  • Somalia
  • South Sudan
  • Sudan
  • Syrian Arab Republic
  • Ukraine

The surveyors are interested in the collectors, managers and analyzers of outbreak data and hearing their perspectives on the tools they use.

The survey should take no more than five to ten minutes to complete. The survey is also available in French, and the language can be changed on the website. Please do not hesitate to contact Patrick Keating at Patrick [dot] Keating [at] lshtm [dot] ac [dot] uk for any queries or clarifications.

Please complete this survey before June 10, 2019.

On behalf of our partners, we thank you for your participation.
