Project Manager
Lena Mutuiri is a Project Manager at TEPHINET with more than six years of experience providing program management, technical and operational support to local and international projects. She recently joined TEPHINET after several years of working as a contractor at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), most recently working as a Surveillance Coordinator within the Division of Bacterial Disease at the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD). Prior to CDC, Ms. Mutuiri worked for Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University, where she supported a multimillion dollar portfolio under various USAID/CDC/PEPFAR-funded and privately funded projects in eastern and southern Africa.
Ms. Mutuiri holds a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice, with a minor in psychology, from the University of Maryland and a master of public health degree with an emphasis on global health from George Mason University.
