Due to a recent rise in COVID-19 cases in Taiwan, the organizers of the 10th Southeast Asia and Western Pacific Bi-regional TEPHINET Scientific Conference have made the difficult decision to postpone both the in-person and virtual components of this conference indefinitely.
The organizers’ chief concern is for the health and safety of those who had planned to attend this conference in person in Taipei from May 31 to June 4. The commitments of the host of this event, the Taiwan Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP), in responding to COVID-19 in Taiwan are also a significant factor in this decision.
Online registration for this conference was paused on May 13. All registrants will receive a full refund. (If you have already registered online, please allow up to 10 business days for a credit card refund and up to 30 business days for a wire transfer refund.)
We know this is disappointing news for those who were hoping to attend, including our speakers, workshop facilitators, and the authors of the more than 250 abstracts submitted by FETPs for presentation. When the organizers decide to proceed with this event in the future, we will let you know.
