These small grants are used to support current Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) residents and recent graduates in completing a project related to cardiovascular disease (CVD) or the HEARTS Technical Package. The grants are awarded for a maximum of U.S. $5,000 and are funded through the generous support of the CDC Foundation and the Global Noncommunicable Disease (NCD) Branch of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
These small grants are only awarded to projects that are determined to be "non-research" and are subject to scientific and programmatic review. Small grant awardees are expected to publish their findings in scholarly peer‐reviewed journals and present their research at professional gatherings (e.g., meetings, conferences, seminars, etc.).
