Now Available: Recordings from the "Scientific Publishing for Field Epidemiologists" Webinar Series

Throughout September 2021, TEPHINET and the Western Pacific Surveillance and Response (WPSAR) Journal co-hosted a four-part series on scientific publishing for field epidemiologists. Launched on World Field Epidemiology Day (WFED), the webinar aimed to provide field epidemiologists with the tools, motivation, and inspiration to publish their work, addressing a critical need expressed by FETP trainees and graduates.

Modules were held for four consecutive weeks, during which TEPHINET Project Coordinator Elena Atkinson, and WPSAR Editors Michelle McPherson and Ashley Arashiro, provided attendees with tips and advice on converting field work into a publishable article, preparing a manuscript for submission, addressing reviewer feedback, and being a good peer reviewer. More than 170 participants joined from around the globe, including attendees from Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Taiwan, and Yemen. Attendees shared positive feedback about the the webinars, with one stating "I think the webinars are very valuable and describe the [publishing] process very clearly".

The four sessions of the webinar series were recorded and can be watched on TEPHINET's YouTube channel.
