The current COVID-19 pandemic has thrust the previously behind-the-scenes world of scientific publishing into the public spotlight. Lay citizens who had never read an academic article are suddenly interested in the ins and outs of the peer review process. The traditional scientific publishing process is also undergoing a shift. Because of the need to share COVID-19 findings rapidly, scientists increasingly are starting to avoid official journals altogether, instead choosing to share their articles on preprint archives.
TEPHINET is currently planning new scientific publishing initiatives to benefit the global FETP community, and we would like to hear the perspectives of FETP fellows, graduates, trainers and mentors in order to best serve you.
