Shaina Azam, MPH
Ms. Azam is currently a Project Coordinator with TEPHINET and primarily focuses on TEPHINET’s projects within Pakistan. She previously worked as a consultant at Deloitte Consulting LLP (as well as two other contracting companies) assigned to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for four years. She worked on several projects including with the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) Immunization Information Systems (IIS) project and the Center of Global Health (CGH) Zika project. Prior to that, she completed a Master of Public Health with a concentration in global health communications from George Washington University in 2013. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in political science and a minor in religion, from Emory University in 2011. She currently serves as a director with the Glitter of Hope Foundation, which supports refugee orphans in Clarkston, Georgia, USA. She is particularly passionate about health communication and violence prevention.
