TEPHINET Convenes Working Group to Develop a New Continuous Learning Strategy for the Global FETP Network

As part of its 2017-2020 strategic plan, the TEPHINET Secretariat aims to support continuous learning within the global FETP community. In collaboration with the regional networks and programs, TEPHINET will create and implement a continuous learning strategy which defines learning objectives, course components, target audiences, learning management systems, and training needs.

From April 26-27, 2018, the TEPHINET Secretariat hosted a working group meeting of representatives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Public Health Informatics Institute (PHII), Emory University, and FETP regional networks and programs worldwide to begin the development of this strategy. The continuous learning strategy will inform TEPHINET’s provision of web-based and offline learning resources and activities in the future.

Key outcomes from this meeting included:

  • Alignment on the current state of learning across TEPHINET’s FETP community
  • Idea generation for the TEPHINET learning strategy roadmap
