TEPHINET Director Dr. Dionisio Herrera Speaks at Global Health Symposium in Atlanta
On Wednesday, October 18, 2017, the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University in Atlanta will host a symposium titled, "Learning from Ebola and the Future U.S. Role in Global Health." Co-hosted by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, the Rollins School of Public Health, and the Association of Schools and Programs for Public Health, this symposium is meant to discuss recently released National Academies' reports ("Global Health and the Future of the United States" and "Integrating Clinical Research into Epidemic Response: The Ebola Experience") as well as experiences in the Atlanta region during the 2014 Ebola outbreak.
The symposium features two panels of global health experts and will point towards implications of future U.S. investments in global health. TEPHINET Director Dr. Dionisio Herrera will speak during the panel session titled, "The Future Role of Global Health for the United States." Speakers for this session include:
