The Future of FETP: Building a Sustainable Health Workforce for Pandemic Preparedness and Response

Throughout 2022, we saw an increased commitment to supporting health workforce capacity building within the global health sector, and a growing need to focus on the future—on preparedness, sustainability, and strengthening health systems.

The year was one of growth for our network and for FETPs around the globe. Several countries implemented new programs and tiers, made progress toward institutionalization, worked on improving the quality of training and mentorship, were accredited by TEPHINET and awarded small grants.

We asked programs to share what they have accomplished, where they are headed, and what the future of FETP means to them as we all look toward building a sustainable health workforce for pandemic preparedness and response. Their perspectives are included in our 2022 report.
