Summary
Many developing countries are often plagued by economic, political and human resource challenges that have unprecedented effects on the health system and the public health. Consequently, there is some trepidation that these countries will not be able to meet key milestones in health because of the complexities of their challenges. In this session, Zimbabwe was present to indicate that competent and dedicated leaders can enable a failing health system to thrive in the midst of hardship and uncertainties.
