From June 27-29, 2016, the World Health Organization held a meeting on "Advancing Global Health Security: From Commitments to Actions" in Bali, Indonesia. This event aimed to highlight achievements and challenges countries face while developing their disease outbreak preparedness and response capacities and align partner efforts around a unified preparedness and response framework.
Lorie Burnett, TEPHINET Project Manager, represented TEPHINET as an engaged partner and discussed TEPHINET's technical and operational inputs in national outbreak preparedness. By supporting the training and mobilization of FETP fellows and graduates, TEPHINET is a key partner in workforce development and strengthening the health systems necessary to prepare and respond to disease outbreaks around the world.
