Thomas Aiken is the Communications Coordinator for TEPHINET. As Communications Coordinator, he works closely with the Communications Manager and will assist in maintaining, developing content and tracking engagement for TEPHINET’s communications channels and website.
Over the past few years, he has developed and managed multiple websites, organized events around mental health and toxic masculinity and has helped more than 80 organizations and businesses advertise and market to their target audiences. Recently, he finished an internship with Emory University’s School of Nursing where he analyzed and coded social media channels and the School of Nursing's website, formulated suggestions and presented deficiencies and strengths with the school’s marketing and the overall effectiveness of the school’s reach. He recently completed a bachelor of arts (BA) in journalism and mass communications in public relations at the University of South Carolina.
Outside of work, he likes trying new things, touring breweries, dabbling in photography, playing his saxophone and is an Army National Guard soldier who works with helicopters. In the near future, he hopes to go to school to become a military officer and get his master of business administration (MBA) degree with a focus in digital marketing.
